Mike Neal | OWNER
Mike Neal, co-founder of RLK Custom Builders, has spent over 15 years building some of Colorado’s most distinctive custom homes. A Colorado native with a degree in Construction Management, Mike brings hands-on experience and a deep respect for the craft—from framing and site supervision to managing complex, high-end builds.
RLK is proudly architect- and designer-driven, collaborating with top design professionals to bring a wide range of styles to life—from modern mountain retreats to timeless estates. With projects spanning the Front Range and mountain communities, Mike is known for his collaborative approach, clear communication, and commitment to quality.
He also serves on the board of the Custom Builders and Remodelers Council through the Home Builders Association, helping shape the future of the industry.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys Colorado’s outdoors with his wife and two daughters—hiking, skiing, and living the lifestyle he helps his clients build into their homes.
Quay Bartek | OWNER
Born and raised in Denver, Quay Bartek brings deep generational roots to the building trade. With a family legacy of construction expertise, Quay grew up learning the craft firsthand. That foundation of core construction practices is what sets RLK’s standards of quality apart.
Quay has led new home builds throughout the Denver metro area and in the high elevations of Grand and Summit Counties. He’s done it all from framing homes to crafting custom cabinetry but today he operates at the helm of field operations. As Lead Site Supervisor, Quay manages RLK’s team of Superintendents and ensures that every project meets the company’s high standards for quality and craftsmanship.
Over the years, Quay has developed a reputation for his hands-on leadership style and his ability to bridge the gap between design vision and on-the-ground execution. He thrives in complex builds, often working closely with architects, engineers, and clients to solve problems before they become delays. His field experience gives him a unique advantage in quality control and team coordination, ensuring every phase of construction is held to the highest standard.
Quay is deeply committed to elevating the construction experience for clients. From blueprint to build-out, he prioritizes precision, teamwork, and doing things right the first time. As a Partner at RLK, he plays a key role in shaping the company’s culture of craftsmanship and pushing the bar higher with every project.
